Jessica Simpson will shoot in India

According to reports, Jessica Simpson will shoot in India starting next week for her VH1 docu-series show “The Price of Beauty”.

In this show, Simpson will reportedly get some beauty pointers from Bollywood actress-model Neha Dhupia, who was quoted as saying: “I know for sure that Jessica will be draped in a saree.” Simpson reportedly may also study the local dietary fads, beauty regimes and fashions and even take part in some of the extreme practices she finds out.

Indian's survival hinging on the results of Pakistan vs Australia match

India approach to the game against the West Indies in a must-win match in Johannesburg on Wednesday in their final group A engagement of the Champions Trophy starts with a prayer on the lips that Pakistan would somehow prevail over Australia by a big margin in the day's first game in Centurion.

If it happens, India would need to up their net run-rate dramatically, besides winning the match, to stand a chance of making the last-four stage.

India presently has a net run-rate of -1.08 whereas Australia has a massive advantage of +1.00 in their favour.

Australia won their opening game against the West Indies by 50 runs and India lost theirs by 54 runs. So if India is to go past Australia's net run-rate, they ought to cover the difference of 104 runs between the two teams.

For instance, if Australia lose their game by 25 runs, India needs to win theirs against the West Indies by 80 runs to prevail and go through to the semi-finals.

However, if Australia bat first and score 250 runs, India need to get their runs inside 40 overs for them to go through.

Manna Dey to get prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award

Renowned playback singer Manna Dey has been nominated for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award for the year 2007.

Officials in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Wednesday Dey's name was finalised earlier this week by a five-member committee.

The 90-year-old singer will be conferred the award in a ceremony on 21st October by President Pratibha Patil .

Dey, one of the greatest playback singers in Indian cinema, ruled the playback music scene from the 1950s to the 1970s. He has sung more than 3,500 songs.

The award, named after the father of Indian cinema Dada Saheb Phalke, is the highest honour in Indian Cinema.

Jennifer Aniston broke down after a love scene in movie “The Bounty”

Actress Jennifer Aniston, whose marriage to Pitt ended in 2005, was apparently so distraught about the romantic scenes with Gerard Butler in her new movie “The Bounty” that she fled to her trailer in tears.

“I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me,” she reportedly told her assistant.

Contactmusic.com reports, this wasn’t a one-off incident and the 40-year-old actress, who has remained single ever since she broke up with singer John Mayer earlier this year, was “very fragile” during the last few months of filming.

During production, Jennifer was romantically linked with Gerard, 38, after they were seen holding hands while on a dinner date in New York.

“I portray the character of Shanno who is a big nautanki. She is bindaas and a different but strong girl.

had a great time shooting with Rani and Shahid in the film. There is also a dance sequence where Rani flirts with me in a song,” says Rakhi.

There is Sherlin too in the movie so was there any competitive environment for you?

“My competition is with the biggies of the industry like Ash, Kareena and Rani Mukherjee not with small time actress,” she stated in an interview with an entertainment channel.

You have done an item song too in the film. “Yes it was with Rani as I said earlier and we had a gala time while shooting it,” she concludes.

Chris Brown plans comeback concert in next month

Chris Brown is set to perform in his comeback concert next month after his infamous altercation with former girlfriend/pop star Rihanna in February this year.

The R&B singer will be taking the stage at the Izod Center on 27 October during the Power 105’s Powerhouse concert in New Jersey, Contactmusic reports.

The show will also feature The-Dream, Fabolous, Keri Hilson, Trey Songz, Mario and Ginuwine.

Brown was sentenced to severe probation and community labour for attacking Rihanna.
